Number of Foreign Visitors to Turkey Increased by 9.25% Year-on-Year in October
In the ten-month period of 2024, Turkey welcomed a total of 54,629,687 visitors. The number of foreign visitors in October reached 5,448,459, marking a 9.25% increase compared to the same month last year.
According to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism's data, 47,306,764 of the incoming visitors were foreigners. The number of foreign visitors increased by 7.03% compared to the same period last year.
In the ranking of countries sending the most visitors to Turkey during the ten-month period, the Russian Federation ranked first with a 7.05% increase to 6,249,998 people, Germany came second with a 6.43% increase to 6,083,421 people, and the United Kingdom ranked third with a 16.98% increase to 4,209,967 people. Following the UK were Iran and Bulgaria.
In October, the number of foreign visitors to Turkey also rose by 9.25% compared to the same month last year, reaching 5,448,459.
In the ranking of countries that sent the most visitors to Turkey in October, Germany ranked first with a 7.59% increase to 925,928 people, followed by the Russian Federation in second place with a 15.53% increase to 776,618 people, and the United Kingdom in third place with a 20.19% increase to 530,586 people. Following the UK in the ranking were Iran, and Bulgaria placed fifth.
