Kale Jet Engines Gears Up for IPO
Founded in 1957 by Dr. (hc) İbrahim Bodur, Kale Group has expanded its industrial journey that started in the ceramics sector into various fields such as construction materials, construction chemicals, logistics, defense, and aerospace, currently consisting of 26 companies and over 5,500 employees.
Entering the defense and aerospace industry in 1987 as a partner of the Euro Stinger missile consortium, Kale Group has developed national and unique systems while also participating in multinational defense projects like the F-35 program. In 2013, it established Kale R&D to develop Turkey's first turbojet engine. Subsequently, Kale R&D developed multiple engines and transitioned to mass production, changing its commercial title to Kale Jet Engines Industry Inc. as of December 2024.
Innovative Solutions and National Production Kale Jet Engines, which initiated its public offering process with a CMB application, stands out as a pioneering company that develops, qualifies, and mass-produces jet engines entirely using domestic resources. The company adds value to the defense industry with its advanced engineering and testing infrastructure, continuing its efforts to meet the needs of the Turkish Armed Forces and to strengthen its competitive position in the international market.
As the designer, developer, and producer of the first indigenous turbojet engines in Turkey with the domestically produced KTJ-3200 Turbojet Engine, Kale Jet Engines persistently conducts development activities to shape the future of the defense industry with innovative engineering solutions. The KTJ-3200 Turbojet Engine serves as the propulsion system for SOM and Atmaca national cruise missiles.
With its experience and knowledge, Kale Jet Engines is successfully executing unique engine projects for next-generation domestic cruise missiles, continuing to make significant contributions to Turkey's defense capabilities with engines such as the KTJ-1750 and KTJ-3700 developed for the Çakır and Kara Atmaca Missiles.
